It is part of the \u201cAlexandra and Barbu Sl\u0103tineanu\u201d comparative art collection. <\/p>\n<p>It has been titled by the artist, according to the artist&#8217;s autograph in pencil: \u201eArracheuse de carottes (Hiver)\u201d \u2013 \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/curatorial.ro\/arta\/desenul-culegatoare-de-morcovi-de-van-gogh-din-nou-in-expunere-permanenta-la-muzeul-colectiilor-de-arta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Culeg\u0103toare de morcovi (Iarna)<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_52565\" style=\"width: 1310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-52565\" class=\"wp-image-52565 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/curatorial.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/slatineanu-muzeul-colectiilor.jpg\" alt=\"slatineanu, muzeul colectiilor\" width=\"1300\" height=\"782\" srcset=\"https:\/\/curatorial.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/slatineanu-muzeul-colectiilor.jpg 1300w, https:\/\/curatorial.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/slatineanu-muzeul-colectiilor-598x360.jpg 598w, https:\/\/curatorial.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/slatineanu-muzeul-colectiilor-1215x731.jpg 1215w, https:\/\/curatorial.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/slatineanu-muzeul-colectiilor-768x462.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-52565\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u201dAlexandra \u0219i Barbu Sl\u0103tineanu\u201d Collection, Muzeul Colec\u021biilor de Art\u0103<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Alexandru Sl\u0103tineanu (1873 &#8211; 1939), bacteriologist and hygienist, held important positions in the Ministry of Public Health. Together with Dr. Ion Cantacuzino, he made an important contribution to the study and eradication of tuberculosis. <\/p>\n<p>During his studies in microbiology at Pasteur Institute in Paris, he became interested in fine arts, especially in graphics (engraving), initiated by his friend, Dr. Ion Cantacuzino. He bought various objects, pieces of furniture and decorative art objects from antique dealers, with which he created in the house in the \u201cNest with stork\u201d neighborhood (located in the area of \u0218tirbei Voda Boulevard) the refined atmosphere in which various personalities of the time gathered for discussions on literature and art, as explained by specialists from the Collections Museum. <\/p>\n<p>The collection that remains in State ownership includes works by Nicolae Grigorescu, \u0218tefan Luchian, Adam B\u0103l\u021batu, Rodica Maniu, \u0218tefan Popescu, Theodor Pallady, Dimitrie Ghia\u021b\u0103, Max W.
